Performance is central to the cultural practice of Aboriginal Productions & Promotions. It’s where our roots first dug into this Boodjar (earth).

Our work brings Nyoongar story, song and movement to stages, festivals and public spaces across Western Australia and the international stage.

Our performance practice is informed by decades of cultural leadership, including the founding of the Middar Aboriginal Theatre, one of the earliest Aboriginal performing arts companies, which carried Nyoongar stories to audiences across the world. This legacy continues to shape how we create and share living culture today.

Our performance practice spans contemporary stage, ceremony and public storytelling. Each work is shaped in close relationship with Country and community and expressed through music and narrative.
